1- The economic activities in Iran are
regulated greatly through a system of annual
budgets, five year development plans and
long term plans. Long term plans which are
for periods of ten or longer years, are
guides for five year plans and five year
plans set out general guidelines for annual
budgets.
2- Annual budget is a financial guideline
for the government and includes projections
for income and other sources of funds, and
expenses during any one fiscal year and
consist of three parts as follows:

Public
budget, divided into:
1- general budget of ministries and
governmental organizations; and
2- development budgets.

Budget of
governmental companies; and
-
Budget of
other organizations which are part of
the annual budget and not included in 1
and 2 above.
3- Annual budgets should be presented to the
Parliament two months before the start of
the budget year , which runs from 21st March
to 20th March of the following year.
